There may be more to your experience than your CV says.

You find a job you want. You recognise the work, but your CV gives the same space to an old responsibility as it does to the experience this employer asks for.

You may have left out the project you coordinated, the people you trained or the part you played in a result. CVFriend compares what you've shared with the job requirements and asks for details that could help you explain the fit.

A question can bring out the detail worth including.

  1. The job asks for

    Experience coordinating projects across teams.

  2. Your current CV says

    Helped with new product launches.

  3. A question before drafting

For the product launches you mentioned, what did you coordinate and which teams did you work with?

  4. Your answer

I kept the launch plan up to date and followed up on deadlines with design and sales.

  5. A CV line based on that answer

Coordinated launch deadlines with design and sales and kept the launch plan up to date.

Scripted illustration with invented answers. This is not a customer result or a recorded product session.

From your current CV to one tailored to the role

1

Start with your CV

Upload your CV or paste its text. You can check it and choose a job before creating an account.

2

Compare it with the job

Choose a listed job or paste an ad. CVFriend compares the requirements with your experience and identifies where it needs more information.

3

Add the missing details

After you create an account, answer the relevant questions in your own words. You can skip a question or say you don't have that experience. If your profile has enough detail, you can go straight to drafting.

4

Review your tailored CV

CVFriend drafts the CV using your profile and answers. Check the wording and facts, make your edits, then download it as Word or PDF. Add a cover letter if you need one.

Keep the parts you can stand behind.

Tailoring means choosing relevant experience and explaining it clearly. A question may uncover something you forgot to include. It may also confirm that you haven't done what the employer asks for. You can leave that experience out and focus on what you do bring.

CVFriend checks the draft for unsupported figures and stock AI phrasing. You review it before sending. The CV check also compares keywords and structure; its score does not predict an employer's decision.

Keep the detail for your next application.

Your saved answers stay with your career information. For another job, CVFriend can draw on the relevant details you've shared and ask about anything else it needs.

  • You can also add examples of your own writing on My voice. Turn on voice learning there if you want CVFriend to learn from your edits.

I built it while looking for work.

After I lost my job, I spent months applying and building a tool to help with the work. I wanted each application to use my experience and sound like something I would put my name on.

In one interview, a recruiter complimented my application while complaining about the machine-written cover letters they were receiving. My system had written mine. After my search ended, I made it available as CVFriend.

Questions about your CV

Do I need to know how to write a CV?
You can answer the questions in your own words. Describe what you did and give the details you know. CVFriend drafts the wording, and you decide what to keep.
What if I don't meet a requirement?
Say so, or skip the question. CVFriend uses the experience you've shared to draft your application. You can also mark unsupported terms to leave out. Check the finished CV before sending it.
Will I answer questions for every job?
Questions depend on the job and the information in your profile. CVFriend asks when it identifies missing details that could help the application. You can continue without answering them.
Can I use a job I've found elsewhere?
Yes. Paste the job ad. You can also try its link in the application workspace; if the site blocks access, paste the text.
Do I get a cover letter too?
You can add a cover letter for the same job within that application. CVFriend supports CVs and letters in English and Swedish.
What happens to my CV?
Before signup, you can delete your upload from the trial screens. Unclaimed trial records expire after 7 days and are deleted by the next day. For tailoring, we send relevant career information to our AI providers. Read the privacy policy for providers, retention and your controls.
Which AI writes my CV?
The latest AI models from OpenAI and Anthropic. An OpenAI model writes your CV, your cover letter, the rewrite into your voice, the final polish and answers to application questions. An Anthropic model writes interview preparation and takes over if the OpenAI model fails. Anthropic's models also handle the analysis, like reading the job ad and finding the gaps. Every plan gets several passes and the same voice check on export.
